Historical Artist & Demonstrators
Southeastern Historians & Reenactors Group members spend, months and years learning 18th-19th century primitive skills and craftsmanship on many different levels from woodworking to spinning and weaving. cooking with fire and beehive ovens, to backwoods herbal medicine that many families brought over from Scotland, Ireland, England and other countries, and adapted what they knew with the plants and trees here in America with help from the Native people. all this is brought together to educate the public on rare skills that are no longer seen in our society today, due to machinery and technology advances. But are an art all of their own.
